Python Job: IoT and audio application programmer

Barix is a skills-based company offering expertise in leading-edge, IP- based communications and IoT technology.
The company is located at the main station in Zürich, Switzerland and specializes in the research, development and production of system components for applications in Pro Audio, Security and Automation.

Barix is looking for an engineer FH, computer scientist or similar for a part-time or full-time assignment with a
'can-do attitude' to develop intelligent audio and IoT products and solutions on our Barix Linux hardware.

We are looking for an

IoT and audio application programmer

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contribute to the development of new Barix products on embedded Linux systems (Yocto, Python,

MQTT, C).

• Develop IoT prototypes based on Barix hardware and integrate it to cloud services.
• Test the hardware and software of newly developed products.

YOUR PROFILE

• Programming skills are a must. Our preferred are Python and C+/C++, but anyone able to learn one of those is welcome.
• Basic knowledge in signal processing.
• Affinity to PCB design: The ability to understand schematics and basic soldering skills are a plus.
• Knowledge in web development (REST API, JavaScript) is a plus.
• You are willing to learn new tools and technologies required to finish a project.
• You have a “Can Do It” attitude and love to turn ideas into reality.
